FUNCTIONS

The Central Analytical Laboratory conducts research and selects appropriate analytical methodologies for soil, fertilizer, water, and plant analyses in support of agricultural research and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Standardizing analytical methods for soil, fertilizer, water, and plant analyses.

• Performing quality assessment and certification of fertilizers.

• Conducting quality evaluation of soils, water resources, and plant materials.

• Providing training and technical consultancy on analytical practices and laboratory skills.

• Adopting advanced analytical technologies and delivering high-precision analytical services.

 

• Providing analytical services for soil, water, fertilizer, plant, and other environmental and agricultural samples.

History

• The Central Analytical Laboratory was established under Decision No. 122/1998/QĐ-BNN-TCCB.

• The Fertilizer Quality Testing Laboratory was established under Decision No. 13/2000/QĐ-BNN-KHCN dated 18 December 2000.

Achievement

SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS

The Laboratory has developed and revised numerous sectoral standards for analytical methods, including:

• 15 standards for soil analysis methods;

• 9 standards for plant analysis methods;

• 36 standards for fertilizer analysis methods.

These standards have contributed significantly to the harmonization and standardization of analytical procedures in agricultural research and quality control in Vietnam.

On 8 July 2016, the Central Analytical Laboratory of the Soils and Fertilizers Institute was officially designated as an accredited testing laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, recognizing its technical capacity and contribution to analytical services for the agricultural sector.
