FUNCTIONS

To advise and assist the Director General in the unified management of scientific research, international cooperation, and technology transfer activities across the Institute.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulating annual, five-year, and long-term strategies, programs, projects, and research plans in the fields of soils, fertilizers, soil environment, and agricultural and rural environmental management.

• Providing consultation and organizing the scientific review and evaluation of research proposals in accordance with the management framework of the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS); coordinating with VAAS in monitoring, evaluating, and accepting the outcomes of scientific research programs, projects, and technology transfer activities.

• Organizing meetings of the Scientific Council, scientific conferences, academic seminars, and other scholarly activities.

• Coordinating and consolidating international cooperation plans and serving as the focal point for the management of international collaborative programs and projects.

• Coordinating plans and providing advisory support for the management of scientific equipment, information systems, publications, exhibitions, and library resources.

• Preparing and consolidating reports on scientific activities, international cooperation, technology transfer, training, and other related fields.
