May 29, the annual meeting of the “Developing and promoting market-based agroforestry and forest rehabilitation options for northwest Viet Nam" (AFLI-2) project was held successfully at the hall of the Soils and Fertilizers Research Institute – SFRI.
Asoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Tien, Deputy Director General, Soils and Fertilizers Research Institute; Dr. Nguyen Quang Tan, head of World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) of Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An, representative of ACIAR attended the meeting with all partners involved in the project components.
Co-funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (FTA) of The CGIAR Research Program (CGIAR), AFLi2 project was leaded by ICRAF and co-leaded by other research institutions and local partners. The aim of project is to develop and promote market-based agroforestry options to improve livelihoods and enhance forest and landscape management.
This event is organized annually to update the project progress, report the results achieved over the past time as well as challenges in the project implementation process. The meeting also discussed further the plan to develop proposals for the next phase of the project.
